Takao Hyakutome presents new ChampdAction cd in ChampdAction/Studio/Concerts

The Japanese violin player Takao Hyakutome who lives in Flanders also took part in the 2011 edition of LAbO (Bi annual project by ChampdAction, deSingel, Royal Antwerp Conservatory ) . Serge Verstockt (artistic leader of ChampdAction) immediately invited him to join our platform of regular musicians as an ‘artist in residence’. Since that day Takao has already performed with ChampdAction on regular occasions in Belgium and abroad.
He is currently recording a new cd for the ChampdAction label with exclusively new music: work by Vykintas Baltakas, Edo Frenkel, Hikari Kiyama, Mateu Malondra and Brian Ferneyhough.
On Thursday 29th May Takao will present this new cd in the ChampdAction/Studio in deSingel. Everyone is welcome and entrance is free. There will be an opportunity to have a drink during the break and after the concert as well as having a talk with the artist of have your new cd signed by Takao.
